Maine Cottage’s Creative Director, Lauren Russell, welcomed editors from Chesapeake Home + Living into her home. They talked about everything, from Lauren’s favorite color to best practices for introducing the Maine Cottage palette into a home. Below are a few out takes, but you can read the full article here.

The youngest Russell girls share a room their mother calls the Wisteria Wonderland. They prefer their Island Bunk Bed in Nikko Blue pulled apart. They also share a Smallest Island Bookshelf in Wisteria and at the foot of each girl’s bed is a Bay Single Window Seat in Wisteria to store off season clothes.

We love the bunk room shown in Design New Jersey Magazine. The colors are for children, yet not childish. There’s room to grow in this space – tweens, teens and beyond. The interior designer chose Maine Cottage for several rooms in this home, including a cool bunk room. Our Shutter Bunk Beds in a dark color with a contrasting ladder is a fun idea – and emphasized by sophisticated accessories. Best of all, if the kids tire of bunks, they can peel them apart into twin-sized Shutter UTE Beds.
Family gathering, beach parties, summer sailing, parades, cocktails on the porch, cookouts on the rocks, croquet with the kids and frisbees flying. July 4th is the kick-off of this prized season wherever you may reside. Stars and stripes, firecrackers and fireflies – HAPPY SUMMER!
