A new addition to the radiant Maine Cottage® color palette is our signature color Spice! A deep, burnt orange, earthy hue that’s part of our Night Collection, Spice adds a refined touch to any space. It’s bold enough to stand alone or looks great upholstered with the organic florals of our Mayflower / Pickle and Rambler / Pear fabric patterns—just to name a few. Adorn your cozy reading nook with solid wood painted Spice furniture or create an oasis on a screened-in porch with painted Spice wicker pieces. The revitalizing energy of this color reminds our designers of a quote by The Great Gatsby author F. Scott Fitzgerald, “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”

Our uplifting and spirited colors are the hallmark of the Maine Cottage® brand and deserve a special spotlight. So, every month we will feature a different color. We will share where our inspiration came from, why our designers love it so much and where else we are seeing it. Enjoy!

Sometimes the winter has us feeling blue—but our signature color called Winter can really change your mood. It’s like the smell of an ocean breeze and the oh-so-soft touch of a powder blue cashmere sweater. But don’t be fooled, this is no ordinary baby blue—Maine Cottage® Winter is much more complex. Like a pale periwinkle, this color is rooted in a milky white. Add to that a hint of cyan and a dash of magenta, then dull it down with a whisper of pearl gray. And there you have it…. our color cure for when winter has you feeling blah.
