WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS JUICE?

“As the Creative Director of a furniture company I’m wearing many hats, including marketing, product development, merchandising and brand building. Maintaining focus while juggling multiple projects can be a challenge for me. Know the Glow is mostly beet juice which oxidizes the blood and improves the brain’s functionality which helps with… you guessed it, focus.” —Lauren, Vice President and Creative Director

There is an intrinsic enthusiasm in red. It’s full of life and energy. At Maine Cottage our richest red is our signature color Tomato, which commands attention while also remaining carefree. Create your own energized space using our passionate palette of refined reds!

When February rolls around we see RED. Red is love. Love is red. We love red too and find great inspiration in red things. Everyday things that catch our eye, command our attention and often make us smile. There’s a comfort in red things. They’re full of life and energy. Even the most inanimate of objects is brought to life by red. At Maine Cottage we describe reds as Tomato, Rhubarb, Zinnia, Poppy, Shrimp, Smoothie and Teaberry. Each one with its own character – as a solid color and in our fabrics. And let’s face it, they are not subtle. Each red is full of warmth, depth and spirit. Even the smallest hint pops and emanates vitality. You may want to try reds at home.

Ev’ry honeybee…. fills with jealousy
When they see you out with me
I don’t blame them….goodness knows
Honeysuckle rose

When you’re passin’ by….flowers drop and sigh
And I know the reason why
You’re much sweeter….goodness knows
Honeysuckle rose

It’s not just red, pink or magenta. It’s uplifting and festive. A sensory experience. Pantone (color experts) calls it “Honeysuckle” and declared it the 2011 color of the year. We thought you’d like to know. If you’re in the Maine Cottage school of thought, you’ll agree that even a small hint of reds, red-pinks, and red-violets give a room (or wardrobe) a similar burst of energy. Maine Cottage rhubarb, shrimp, zinnia and even smoothie fall into this category of pinkish warm reds. And remember how fantastic these warm hues look with cooler blues, bluegreens, greens and neutrals for added drama and stimulation. A bouquet of fresh flowers or a fruit smoothie can have the same invigorating effect on a January day.
